Timeless with a pure elegant Greek aesthetic
Sleek lines and fabrics from 100% cotton, linen, and lyocell.
My childhood was dressed in white cotton of Parthenis Fashion house. I guess simplicity and purity go along with our Greek white island landscapes and clarity of light.
The first store opened in the center of Athens in 1970 by Dimitris Parthenis, whilst the next venture in 1978 was in Mykonos.
This was a great source of inspiration for the designer, but also the stepping stone for the House’ international fame. Clear, sharp and monotonic color lines expressed the Greek DNA.
Strangely the House has not yet expanded dynamically to street fashion with a more aggressive collection.
Their vast exporting activity of his creations in Europe and the USA reached its peak with the opening of flagship stores in Brussels and Los Angeles. In the mid-’80s the Parthenis brand had conquered the Greek market and the designer was considered an innovator in his field.
Today the Parthenis look remains timeless and simple with a unisex easy-living feel and a pure elegant Greek aesthetic. Sleek lines and fabrics from 100% cotton, linen, and lyocell maintain every annual collection eternal in taste and fashion trends
Orsalia Parthenis, daughter of Dimitris Parthenis, continues her father’s tradition in the creation of “chic sportif” based on the same concept and quality evoking a bohemian mood. Using natural fibers, wool, silk and cotton, a relaxed silhouette that hugs the body the Parthenis line is constantly refreshed while remaining true to its essence.
The brand operates stand-alone boutiques in Greece, Spetses, Patra, Crete with flagship stores in Athens and Mykonos, alongside an expanding wholesale network in its native country, in Lebanon and UK.
Recently the unassuming elegance of Parthenis has sat on the designing table alongside the dynamic genius of David Downton, fashion’s favorite master illustrator, launching a collaboration of a limited edition resort collection.
Parthenis collections are designed and produced in Athens, Greece.
