Embracing resilience in a journey looking for a job in my industry
Resigning from my previous employment in Monaco one year ago was a decision that didn’t come lightly. I had my reasons, fair or not, but it still felt like stepping into the unknown. As someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, I knew the risks, but I also knew the potential rewards waiting on the other side of fear.
The life of an entrepreneur is a rollercoaster ride, filled with ups and downs, twists and turns. It demands patience, courage, and persistence. It’s about daring to dream big and having the resilience to weather the storms that inevitably come your way.
Along this journey, I’ve encountered a myriad of experiences maybe because I always took as a status quo that I choose amongst options standing on my way every once a while. But this time it did not happen. Maybe the age, the physics, the lack of the clientele and agenda, the lack of results, maybe God blinds them all until the best is to come and meet me. What hurt most was to be ignored by people knowing my records and profitability, ignoring that this niche profession requires a unique set of skills and experiences, which have shaped my career trajectory and approach properly to employment challenges.
This time, from meeting fascinating individuals to facing challenges that tested my resolve, confront fake promises, each moment has been a lesson in growth. I’ve had the privilege of seeing the world through different perspectives, whether it be that of an employer, an investor, or someone standing on the opposite end of the spectrum looking down to my weaknesses or room for a professional self-development.
But with growth comes reflection, and I’ve come to realize the importance of living in the present. Too often, I found myself either dwelling on the past or fixating on the future, missing out on the precious moments unfolding right in front of me. It’s a balancing act, learning to appreciate the journey while still striving for greater heights.
Leaving behind the familiar confines of my previous employment was not without its challenges. I encountered ignorance, rejection, and insincerity along the way. But through it all, I remained steadfast in my belief that there was light at the end of the tunnel.
And now, as I emerge from the storm, I feel a sense of peace washing over me. The chaos has subsided, and I find myself stronger and more resilient than ever before. It’s as if a tsunami of energy is coursing through my veins, propelling me forward with renewed purpose and determination.
As I rebuild, or reclaim, my place in my industry I live and work with passion for, I’m struck by the realization of my own tendency to stray from the present moment. My obvious sin has been my inclination to dive in the future or the nostalgia for the past, neglecting the richness of the present. I now think that feeling like a queen without a kingdom is not very down to earth to recognize the profound and obvious nostalgia of cherishing moments with beloved fellowship colleagues around us or any person I was meeting at every day.
Life’s short. It reminds me not to dwell on the past or obsess over the future. Instead, I’ve learned to live in the moment, soaking up every experience and grabbing hold of every opportunity that comes my way.
So cheers to the journey ahead, filled with endless possibilities and infinite potential.
I may have weathered the storm, but I’m ready to embrace whatever lies on the horizon.
And I have no doubt that as usually, together with people around me we’ll all enjoy the ride ensemble, basking in the glow of our collective resilience and strength. Afterall knowledge and feelings are to be shared.
