Marina Vernicos is a creative Entrepreneur and Award winning photographer, engaged to Art Photography for a long time despite her youth.

If you really wish to taste the Greek sea, salty, turquoise or blue and feel the Greek light in clarity, then you can just look at her photos. A true daughter of the Sea with origin from the Cycladic Sifnos island, has named a beautiful collection by this name, to share with us the beautiful creations into the sea. A lot of Marina’s photographs decorate chain hotels and brand villas.

Recently Marina has created a new jewelry collection the Cuddling Lovers and a collection of summer clothes and accessories. Beautiful lines available in brand chain hotels.

Marina Vernicos was born and raised in Athens, Greece. Her parents a sweet and active lady, Demi and George Vernicos, who established Vernicos Yachts, well-established company in sailing yachts trade and charter. She is married to businessman Miltos Kambourides and has three children, Demilia, George and Annezia.

Marina has studied Communications and Photography at Emerson College of Boston and Business Administration at Harvard Extension School and expressed her talent in photography in early age.

Since 2001, Marina has showcased a number of solo and group exhibitions in distinguished galleries and museums around the world, such as the museum of Cycladic Art in Greece, Museum of Louvre and Eiffel Tower in Paris, Hangaram Art Museum in Korea, London, Monaco and NY.

Marina has been nominated  Photographer of the Year 2018 for National Geographic, awarded the first prize at the Global Art Awards in Dubai, the prizes “Sandro Botticelli” at the Palazzo Giucciardi Bongianni, Florence and in France “La Grand Exposition Universelle” at the Eiffel Tower.

There’s more in collaborations on photo projects with companies such as Mercedes, Perrier, Napapijri, Folli Follie, Sani Resort and was selected as an ambassador for Hermès, La Prairie and Omega. Her work can also be seen in distinguished hotels such as the Amanzoe and Nikki Beach Resort & Spa in Greece and Turkey; moreover has published six books.

In addition to her career, Marina’s uncontested social awareness led her to found CREAID www.creaid.com a Non Profit Organization with a targeted humanitarian mandate, which combines creativity through works of art to assist the local community and help children in need. In this framework CREAID coordinates projects and organizes annual exhibitions and auctions of artistic pieces.

Over the past four years Marina Vernicos has also become a successful entrepreneur. Having selected some of her most characteristic imagery she created her own fashion brand “Marina Vernicos Collection” (marinavernicos.com) which consists of accessories, jewelry and clothing.

Also, part of the proceeds from sales of her own fashion brand “Marina Vernicos Collection” are donated to “We dive We clean”, a group of volunteer divers who clean the seabed of Greek waters.

One of her beautiful collections is the ‘The daughters of the Sea’, as the shellfish were characterized from the Mesozoic Era, they firstly appeared hundreds of years ago in the Peruvian Andes, but are an endangered species due to the extensive water pollution. Their unique shape, color and size, make them priceless while their value in early times was considered higher than gold. The harvest is done by specialized divers, as they attached to rocks of the seabed and are very sensitive to changes in temperature and salinity of the water. One can discover their age by examining the lines on the shell.
