A charitable foundation in yachting
launching food-raising campaigns – indeed within yachting industry, under the name of Yachting Gives Back, brings together yachts and service companies to relieve people in need from the problems of poverty and craving, in the Balearics.
Concept was founded by Mr. Nick Entwisle, who has been working for Global Yacht Group operating sixe superyacht brands including Pinmar Supply. Nick has been popular as well through operations in Pinmar Yachtsman’s Golf Tournament. The concept was supported first and foremost by Pinmar Supply, for which the GM Ms. Tracey Miller states in pride partnership, delighted of this initiative and with plans to expand collaboration with the wide network of yachting clientele & fellow industry service companies.
Did you know that 25% of the Balearics’ population, around 276,000 people is at risk of social exclusion and even more 87,000 people survive on a scale of around 350€ per month? It is great to hear that people like Nick have a dream to fight poverty and hunger in Balearic Islands, in care of people in need. It makes me wonder why on earth we don’t do the same on every Mediterranean country or wherever our yachts cruise to?
The yachting industry is surrounded by incredible luxury and it’s very easy to forget that people are struggling right on our doorstep!
Yachting Gives Back works with local charity institutions, such is JoyRon Foundation helping children in need in Baleares – exposed to violence or exploitation, suffering from hunger or seriously ill, Shambhala Foundation working with vulnerable young people, the Association of Tardor and Mallorca Sense Fam, which also deliver foodstuffs to those in need. Of course there are more organizations implementing within this campaign and support on regular basis however they can.
If you do live in Balearics, hey, this is great for my associate agents and friends to care for, Yachting Gives Back will collect the cardboard box or boxes you get from Pinmar Supply outlets, which you can fill with the non-perishables such is pasta, or rice, flour, tinned vegetables, milk long expiry, fruit juice, oil, vinegar and sauces, but also hygiene products like shampoo, soap, toothbrushes and more.
When you order for your yacht another way to contribute is by adding a percentage of the order through Catering & Provisioning company ‘Delicioso’, to deliver donation directly to Yachting Gives Back. Nick Entsisle is always welcoming your approach, you may just may directly email or call Nick. Tel : +34 619 117 937
