It is well known, almost a tradition, that the juxtaposition between fishermen in the South of France and the yachting world. The vertical development of the area 30 years ago was enough to damage the fishing sector and fish life in the region.
Modern fishermen remain fiercely independent in their small boat, yet to bring a touch of authenticity in the region, which is massively devoted to the large hotel units and superyachts
During one of our nomadic mornings, we had coffee on the bridge and decided with the officers to salute the fishermen. It was a tranquil dawn, and this seagull attracted our eye. We could not feed the seagull when it landed on board our yacht, actually in the Jacuzzi, and finally, it moved close by the boat of our fisherman. You may distinguish the beautiful bird in the picture.
-‘Bonjour’! The captain said to the fisherman.
The seagull might think we ask fishermen for food for him. He visited our yacht later on.
But the fisherman replied in French, obviously saying just the worst to our Captain as we disturbed his fish catch.
It was a beautiful dawn at Côte d’Azur.
The next day, a seagull came to our Jacuzzi. I think it was the same one.
