Handmade creations woven on the loom
in modern times. I desperately live in our customs and have this attitude for the Greek tradition; it is our Greek history and traditions to make me evaluate authenticity in time, to give me most of my identity.
Tradition is fading day by day and gives us only joy to meet people retrieving traditional arts and turning tradition to business. One of best examples is ‘Argalios’. A family company creating homemade things on the loom, for which the Greek word is Argalios.
Items are made from cotton yarn and attach Greek traditional weaving techniques with a contemporary look.
The name Argalios means loom, a wooden loom commonly used in the 19th century to weave items such as blankets, rugs. Every clutch is hand-crafted with an original loom, using the finest wool and yarns and supple goat skin on the reverse.
The founders of Argalios Elias and Katerina started their business having zest and love for the Greek tradition. They have created a unique Greek product based in the traditional art of loom, with a modern touch that can satisfy even the most demanding audience.
The handmade feminine clutches-with a bobble on the side-make up for their final product. Katerina is in charge of the production of the clutches till their final form and Elias is in charge of communication and promotion of the products.
The establishment and the recognition of their work is the payment for their hard work. The clutches are made of woolen yarns and they attribute Greek traditional weaving art with a modern touch. Already provided in brand chain hotels, you can still order online from the Argalios webpage: https://www.argalios.gr/index.php/en/
enjoy darlings
